We got everything we were promised from Ehimen. He kept to his word and made it to campus. He was a 7' Nigerian who ran like a gazelle. He was a presence in the lane that affected the game. He allowed the defenders on the perimeter to take chances and risk getting beat because he was back there.
More importantly, he was an excellent ambassador for Wichita State University. He represented his family proudly. He represented us proudly. He worked hard, and did everything that was asked of him in the classroom and on the court.
If we get 3/4 out of Mr. Wamukota that we did out of Ehimen, I will be a VERY happy Shocker.
It's a complete stretch to assume we don't win particular games due to EO. Sorry, don't buy it. My argument all along has been what better quality player would have filled EO's spot. How many 6-10 to 7-foot players over the years it took to get EO did we pass on because the assumption was EO was that "one" special player. Those "missed" opportunity players could have actually been the reason we beat Pitt and Gonzaga.
We got a GREAT young man with EO and I am as big of fan going forward for him having whatever success he strives for.

Bush played maybe 14 minutes in first half. He didn't attempt any shots. I have him for.5 rebounds, two being offensive. 2 assists and 1.steal. He made quick passes every time he was feed in the post. Hhe caught all good passes to him. Two passes to him in the post were not good, being thrown around the knees. In the fast lane

Didn't see the blocking ability I'd like to see. Rebounding is fine and he can catch passes and make quick passes to open perimeter players. He doesn't look to score much but probably will more as he becomes more confident. He can make us a solid center. We have other offensive tools. In the fast lane

I watched the first half of the game and like Trop said the shot blocking ability was not on display. I think there is a lot to work with and I can tell you he is not like EO in that he has soft hands and catches the ball with ease. I didn't realize that Kilgore was ranked #6 in the country until I watched the game but the completion is probably a bit of a culture shock from NAIA last year. Hopefully Trop will comment on this but I didn't see an incredibly high motor. It wasn't bad but seemed pretty average.

I thought his overerall defense was good. It's hard to shoot over a 7 footer. He is also fast enough it's hard to go around him. He doesn't run as fast as EO but not many 7.footers do. From what I've heard of and seen of former recruits Hurt, and the one who picked Wake Forest his motor is better than what they have.In the fast lane
