  • I hope we see him again in a non-con game when he is a senior and playing well. This means he has 3 more years now in college basketball. I'd love to see him transfer to a place that can utilize him as a starter right off the bat (after sitting and learning the new system for a year) and lets him rack up some stats finally. He's NOT a bad player. It's important to remember that he is on one of the best teams in all of college basketball. It's tough to get minutes in that setting even if you are good. He will do great in his college career. I look forward to following him just like I followed Jake White and others who have left.

    • I always hate to see players leave the program and really had high hopes for this young man. But it became pretty clear, actually early in the season, that his days in a Shocker uniform were probably going to end at the end of this season. He's got some real athletic ability and he'll land on his feet in another D1 program and get some playing time. Best of luck Eric, your attitude even in adversity never wavered. That makes you a real Shocker and a player I will always support, no matter where you end up.

      • I don't think Eric will find himself short of options. A 6-8, 230 lb athletic power forward will be of interest to many programs for sure. The ball always seemed to find Eric and while he didn't always do the right thing with it he certainly is not totally void of basketball skills. Has nice looking shot for a big guy. And yes he can jump a bit as well.

        • He is a shooting guard in a PF body. That was always going to be problematic for him at WSU.

Maybe, although I thought his biggest issue was that he was just afflicted with end-of-the-bench-mop-up syndrome.

            • Not Baylor or Syracuse per se, but a team like that who likes to zone with long athletes and runs minimal motion/half-court offense, would allow EH to thrive.

              • Revolving Door strikes again. It is nice though that Gregg Marshall recruits a solid practice team. It's just unfortunate for the players who are good enough to actually play somewhere else.

Well, that did not take long. Sad to see, wish the young man luck in his future, both on and off the court.

I'm expecting one more, but I'm not 'in the know', just speculation based on playing time and observations.

No. He idolized Tekele when he was growing up. This is where he wants to be beyond the shadow of a doubt
