For what it's worth Alex thinks this is a tough call but goes with GW due to location.

I'll also predict the Shockers since he wants to go to a winning program.

I try to keep up, but...

...could someone point out the differences between Brown and Kelly? They appear to be about the same type of player. Then there's Green, who also seems to be the same type of player.

I like what I've learned about all 3, but it seems they would all have to be used as SF/PF combos. We've done pretty well with 6'7" PF/C combos. I'm getting the feeling we're looking at that for the next several years.

An argument could be made that Brown, Green, and Kelly are all about the same player, but all are "the best available player". I would take those 3 guys as being the future of Shocker basketball at the 3/4. Talk about a stretch 4 that can run the floor!
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but this is pretty much what Marshall had at Winthrop but with better players here at Wichita. What I mean is that Marshall wants long athletic players and will find a way to put as many athletic defenders on the court as possible. Gives us a lot of options but I agree that we desperately need to sign a true big man. I have to think that we will be looking the Juco route in the spring or even a transfer even though that wont' help us for a year.

Not having seen any of these players yet, Brown sounds like a perimeter player (wing) who is great on the break (versatile, yes but still more of a guard).
Kelly sounds versatile but more who has the personality to play the PF more like Early (a very nice rebounder, and tough inside kid). This quote describes him.
Hamilton describes him as a combo forward who is one of the nation’s top rebounders.
“He's a super-tough kid,” Hamilton said. “He can guard a wing. He can guard a big. He’s a big-time athlete.

nothing wrong with having a team full of long athletes that can run you into the ground.

I agree with @shockmonster:. Brown is more of a pure SF type. Kelly is probably viewed more as a PF who can step out and be an athlete. Green I believe is more of a SG/SF type mentality. He's a shooter plain and simple.

While all three are built similarly in height and maybe even weight, all three are different types of players. Perhaps all three can play both forward positions, but none of them bring the same skill set to the table and are probably a better fit for different positions.

A little off topic, but assuming we do not get a true center this time around, is Shaquille our center of the future?

He would be our center for next year at least. I think Shaq is capable of both post spots considering his size, although I was a little disappointed to hear he's listed at 6'7" instead of the 6'8"-6'9" I'd read about during recruiting.
