  • Rashard Kelly '14 cf 6-6 is a Shocker!

Alex Kline (along with many others) tweets:

"@TheRecruitScoop: Wichita State has offered 2014 DC Assault forward Rashard Kelly."

Plays for Massanutten Military. I think he may be playing a post season year, but not for sure. Offers from Boston College, Deleware, George Washington, James Madison, Northeastern, Old Dominion and Robert Morris.

He'll be a senior this fall with an option for Prep school after that if offers not good enough:

One would hope that two straight Final Fours would be good enough...

That article is a year old. He was a senior last year. From Tweeter, it appears he will take his post season at Hargrave Military in Virginia.

If I'm Kelly, I don't know how I even considered anybody other than WSU. Maybe Boston College but yikes, I lived in Norfolk, I wouldn't even visit ODU!

Apparently Kelly is considering being a late 2013 addition to some D-1other than WSU. The Shockers are recruiting him only as a 2014. If he does not commit next week to a school for 2013, he will enroll at Hargraves and visit WSU next month.

Interesting. You'd think at this point in the game that his options for '13 would be pretty limited.

Shockers are going after him the hardest as Marshall or an assistant talk to him daily. Among the other schools involved, he hears the most from Cincinnati, Minnesota and Marshall. No visits are set but he plans to take several. No mention of going 2013 so that apparently isn't happening.
