He obviously values immediate playing time over winning programs.

Thing is, there would be immediate playing time here as well. We only return one guy that could play Center next year. And could you imagine having Haas and Shaq on the court together? Could have been exciting.

We're in on other bigs, we'll get one or two.

I'll say it for the umpteenth time: players' "final fives," or fours, or two, or whatever, frequently turn out not to include where they ultimately sign.

I doubt that Steve Forbes, just to pick a sample coach out of the blue, is going to be dissuaded by that list if WSU really wants Haas. And even if nothing comes of this guy, there's plenty of history to suggest that as Sub has said, the Shocks will get one or two other bigs who will do just fine.

Sounds like a poor man's Perry Ellis recruiting strategy... UAB, the local school getting lip service... to the BCS schools, but in this case the BCS schools are all trying to climb back into a competitive situation. Only Virginia and maybe Purdue are worth consideration in my opinion... He needs to be a Shocker!!!

Does that mean there's still hope?

Old news maybe? He was at 7 a few weeks ago, then narrowed it to 5.

Do not rely on Rivals' datadase for updated recruiting information.

See my comment a few lines up at #64 -- until he signs with a school that doesn't fire its coach, there's hope.

Very recent article leaving out WSU from his final five and now most offfical visits are set. Better subscribe to Watcher's way of hope.

Matt Painter has done well lately with big men like Carl Landry, JaJuan Johnson, and A.J. Hammons. Could Isaac Haas fall in-line as the next post player at Purdue?

Haas cancels his visit to Virgina becase they were not showing him the same amount of love given by his other finalists. Virginia is currently fighting it out with Norte Dame for 6-9 pf Martin Gerben. So, as in the past, Haas' list keeps on being fluid, but no indication of adding another visit.

Per Alex Kline, committed to Wake Forest.

Which means that if he signs there, he'll be reopening his recruitment after the season when the Bzdelik situation finally crumbles...

Yikes! I knew nada about the Coach Bzdelik situation. After reading about it, I cannot imagine why any player would commit to the WF program.
