Just read a tweet from Alex Kline of the Recruit Scoop and he said that Haas is down to UAB, Purdue, UCLA, Wichita State and Texas A&M. Also stated that Georgetown and Wake Forest are still in play.

EDIT: Kline says UAB heads into the July live period as the leader... I don't have a membership so I can't read the rest of the article.

So he didn't say no to all the locals.

UAB is local and has some ok history. Probably immediate PT available.

Purdue is a solid program and the B1G is a very respectable conference. A lot of low scoring games in said conference though.

UCLA has a ton of tradition but has been bad for quite some time. Not as much exposure on the left coast.

aTm has been a little down but has some decent recent history. The SEC isn't a bad conference.

WSU has some recent history of their own. PT would definitely be available with Shaq and Carter being the only returners in the post. We do have some teams that want to slow it down in conference but we try to push it and other teams I think are moving that way.

No matter what, that's some tough company to be going up against. I don't know the style of play at Wake but G'Town had some of the most boring, slow games I've ever seen last year.

He sees himself as a Roy Hibbard type of player.

Some connected to UAB feel pretty good about getting Haas. Some Purdue fans think they are a long shot. If I remember right Reggie Rankin's bold prediction for Harvard was Haas. I'm not for sure if UCLA is real interested at this point.

WSU is in Haas' new top five but UAB and Texas A&M are currently 1 & 2. Our staff is going after him hard.

Would give us some much needed size in the post,6'8...6'7 centers will get you so far unless they have the toughness of a jt durley or Carl hall. A 7'2 young man with a nice offensive skill set and a defensive mindset comes in and helps shaq right away

To the best of my knowledge, you are the first person to describe J.T. as being tough.

Mainly around the midsection, but I still love the big guy.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Mentally more than physically. From what I heard, he needed constant external motivation.
