I am willing to bet that Alabama will put the hard press on him, and he will commit on the visit. I hope I am wrong.

First part, obviously is correct. 2nd part is incorrect.

You have insulted and denigrated my alma mater.

My experience with people who have used that term is that they were wealthier kids out of Wichita who went to KU and then wanted to insult those whop may have had to live at home while attending WSU by referring to WSU as a high school.
I'm not from around here and I like Wichita and WSU a great deal. A new guy in town (Wichita) went to KSU to give a lecture and came back with a negative impression of KSU. (His host is desperate to leave KSU.) A few old cowpokes from Stanford, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, etc. joined me at a conference at KU some years ago; we had difficulty containing our laughter when various KU administrators spent 30 minutes praising the greatness of KU. (Of course, KU is far superior to Stanford or Georgia Tech or ... :hopelessness: )

Old cowpokes like me don't understand the greatness that arises from viewing Mount Oread, attending (or skipping) classes at KU and watching the best football to be found within 100 yards of Memorial Stadium in LAWRENCE, KANSAS. I'm sure that someday the light will dawn and I will understand that KU is superior to every other university that does exist or can exist. Someday. :rolleyes-new:

According to ESPN, he was scheduled to go to Alabama last weekend.

WSU is scheduled for this coming weekend.

I didn't see Trop's post above. I guess it's Alabama this week and WSU after that.

I see ESPN has it wrong. He was at UAB last weekend. He was at Georgia the weekend before and started his five straight weeks of visits with Mississippi State.

My comment was biased on the fact that he has expressed the most interest in Alabama and most are predicting he will go there. That coupled with the fact that Alabama will be his 4th straight visit in four weeks, and you have a recipe for a recruit who may be willing to end the process with a commitment on the visit. I think this would be a huge mistake, and like I said, I hope I am wrong. If he does take his visit here, I think he will like what he sees.

You state "2nd part is incorrect" as if it is fact. Do you have some inside information you are willing to share, or are you just posturing?

I would love to get this recruit. He sounds like a baller, and as a 4, would mix it up around the basket, blocking many shots. Just have to wait and see if he commits to us on his visit here.

If Lee is visiting Bama this weekend, it's interesting that they're choosing to bring him in when the football team is on the road. He misses the atmosphere, but on the other hand doesn't get overwhelmed by all the hoopla that highlights football's supremacy and basketball's second (or lower?) tier status there. Of course, if he's from around that area he knows all about which sport makes the Tide roll, anyway.

Come to Wichita and be part of the marquee sport in town, William.

I hadn't connected the dots on this until today and don't see a mention of it in this thread, but if 247sports is correct and his visit with the Shox is indeed on 10/18, then he will be attending Shocker Madness...

Wonder who else might be in attendance - has anyone heard anything?

Better be a crowd there to represent...

If 247 is right about him being "cool" on WSU, then I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's off the board by Monday.

At least one "expert" is thinking Lee committing to Alabama this weekend iis probable. I don't know why 247 never raised WSU to warm with the other four when he announced his visits. I don't put much stock on that. But do think it's somewhat iffy if it makes it to Wichita.

If Lee does make it to Shocker Madness I hope Downtown Shocker Brown is happy with the attendance and event. The last time we had a major recruit attend our Madness, DSB knew that was the end of our recruitment of the young man.

As much as we enjoy Shocker Madness, it's not an event that is going to impress recruits. Seeing the Final Four rings presented might though.

Either way, I'll be shocked if Lee ever makes it to Wichita, at least not until Alabama comes up here to play us.

All valid points, but it begs the question, why would he even bother to schedule an official visit and why WSU would even bother if both sides didn't have an equal level of interest....
