Espn has 10-12-2013 for his visit date which is last. He is at Bama the week before and I just hope he does not commit before we even get a chance to get him on campus.

Im down in Tuscaloosa for the Ole Miss/Bama game ... after talkin with my ppl down here, they feel his ALL Bama. TFWIW ... with one guy holding out that he'll be a UAB Blazer (Not gonna happen). Lee is somewhat close with a couple bama players/commits and loves his key recruiter Pettway (ex bama player) ... they think that's enough to seal the deal

What's up with the Hillside High comment? Are you unaware that is one of the most insulting references you can make to WSU?

You have insulted and denigrated my alma mater.

My experience with people who have used that term is that they were wealthier kids out of Wichita who went to KU and then wanted to insult those whop may have had to live at home while attending WSU by referring to WSU as a high school.

I am an alumi, , I have never felt insulted by the use of "hillside high", can't stand KU, and did not come from a wealthy family, other than that you have me figured out. But i did party and have a great time in college while attending school at the infamous "Hillside HIGH". I am ole school guy, and our skin is probably a little thicker towards that stuff than most. Guessing I didn't see you at the parties I was hanging out at. Good news is, only 1 month to go till "Games on" at the Roundhouse, errrrr, i mean 'Charles Koch Arena". Being an old timer, I guess my skin is thicker too. I always put the Hillside High reference in the same category as Snob Hill for KU or Silo Tech for KState. Just trash-talking between schools/alums... as far as us poor kids who have to live at home and work our way through school - which is worse - working your way through school or getting through on Daddy's money? Who is better prepared when they come out? Embrace it. Wear it with pride....

I guess I'm glad it was CARMAX who made the Hillside High reference before me as I'd rather not have the wrath of a pirate on me hands. I too attended Hill...arrrgh, WSU, although I didn't graduate from my home town school (I left the state and finished up at Syracuse where I was witness to a distressing last second loss to Indiana in the 87 championship game). As another old timer, I remember the reference well although I've not heard it used, or used it myself for years.

I was neither wealthy nor embarrassed by attending Wichita State. I had a few friends who went to KU and yes, they did jokingly refer to WSU as Hillside High but I took it all in stride and went along with the jibe. Tis only words after all. But I have a tremendous appreciation for the professors and administration at Wichita State and proudly display my Shox memorabilia far more than my Syracuse stuff.

Seems today's pirates aren't as thick skinned as those swashbucklers of yesteryear.
