Thank you Trop. Mr. Knight is doing his homework quite well if he gets him along with the big man Cohadarevic, from Seward. Soon, we will play Texas Tech which is a great team to add to our schedule.

First off, a description of a truly crazy play.

3 minutes to play and Itawamba (ICC) is up by 2 (Indian Hills is mounting a comeback). ICC inbounds the ball to the corner after a made shot. IHCC is pressing. ICC guy jumps up to get the ball back to then inbounder under the basket. The IHCC defender jumps with his hands up. The ball deflects off the defender and goes right in the basket, nothing but net! The officials had to have a conference before counting it. If that doesn't happen, Itawamba likely wins in regulation.

        On to Brock . . .

If he's 150 lbs. I'd be surprised. Very slight build. But he can definitely get to the basket. Defense was solid but did get beat off the dribble a couple of times. Uses his hands well when defending on the ball. Swipes upward instead of down when reaching in (textbook).

Missed both 3-point attempts. Neither team looked to get open perimeter shots. The boxscore says 13 total 3-point attampts by both teams. I'd have guessed less than 10.

He wanted the ball in his hands toward the end. He just couldn't hit the necessary shots.

Having just seen Hannah last night, I couldn't help but compare the two. Defensively I'd rate them equal. But due to being a little taller, I give the edge to Clevin. Brock is better at the dribble-drive. Hannah is the better shooter. So I guess it depends on what you want out of your PG as to which one is the better fit. Overall, I think Hannah has a more complete game. Brock is just so small I'm not sure how he'll fare in D1.

Itawamba started three players that go 5'8, 5'9, 5'9.

I can see a potential need for 2 JuCo PG's next year. Gotta have a backup, but I'd really hope signing 2 JuCo PG's is somewhere around Plan C. Could be there aren't any quality HS PG's left in the late period.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

... and Marshall wants to win next year... the chances are better with 2 experienced point guards.

Brock has plans to visit WSU and South Alabama. He will probably take his full 5 visits before signing day.

I see he has Iowa on his list of interested schools.

I saw an Iowa rep who looked a lot like this guy watching Brock's game yesterday.

Iowa also tried to get in on Clevin Hannah before he signed with us.

They need to go find their own PG recruits!!!

Nah, I think either Anthony or Twany will coming to us. After all, Kentucky lost and that's how we got Garrett

His stats parallel what I would expect from a Shooting Guard, not a Point Guard so much. Only 1 assist, 2 turnovers, and 3 steals.

I am undecided about him. Will his height be a drawback at D-1 level?
His stats are okay, but I am still left with the feeling that we could, and should, do better for a PG.

Brock is in a similar situation as Hannah. Earlier I mentioned "Itawamba started three players that go 5'8, 5'9, 5'9."

Like Hannah vs. Teel and Alvin for Chipola, Brock is probably the best shooter of the three little guards for ICC. So to get the most of their available talent they probably slid Brock over to the SG position.

Here's some video from their loss against IHCC. He's number 5 in red. About 40% of the way into the video, he's the one who drives to the basket and misses a contested layup. He's in a few other shots, too.
