  • Shaquille Morris is a Shocker!

As mentioned by @shocks02: in another thread, Paul S. reports Morris is currently on a visit to WSU. He is a 6-7 to 6-8, 260lb center from Edmond, Oklahoma (Santa Fe Hi). He's been offered by Fresno State and ORU. Oklahoma has been monitoring him.

Doesn't it seem that despite appearing to be full for next year, that we will sign another 2013 guard AND another 2013 big?

The only thing certain is that they're never going to be caught off guard and not have a good option in the event that there's a roster spot open.

Another solid guard is fine. If I had my rathers, I also want Hawkins and Uwadiae back in here and eligible. Is this asking too much and am I being too greedy? If so, get me the best guard we can sign along with one of the 2 mentioned above and I will deal with it. That is my final answer. This is no Country Club but rather a Program that longs to Dance with the Stars in the March Madness in March every solitary Season.

You might of already looked at these highlights of Shaquille that were posted in the Thomas thread:

From what I read about him it looks like his offense has come along from a couple of years ago. Moves pretty darn good for such a big guy.

Morris is a quick jumper for his size.

Hawkins could be eligible next season. Henry has to graduate JUCO, so if he ever gets here it won't be in 2013.

Morris did not visit WSU because of illness. He is expected to reschedule.

                            Scroll down to Morris:

OKhoops ranks him #5 for 2013 in Oklahoma. The four ranked above him have all committed to good programs. The things Sam has written about him include strong, explosive, good motor and jump shot getting more consistent.

Another couple of inches wou ld be nice but if he becomes a Shocker I expect he will be more of a PF than a center.

Well, 262 is a lot of pounds for a college PF. There have been plenty of guys who played center for money at that weight, some (like Wes Unseld, the king of the rebound and outlet pass) pretty well even though shorter than 6-8. How's Morris at getting the ball out for the break?
