  • Who does Mills recruit?

Two players graduate. Those scholarships are filled by 2 guards. There's one available scholarship.

A logical assumption is that players who go to the portal will be replaced with other players in their positions.

That leaves one scholarship to add one position player. What should be prioritized with that one scholarship? Or should the positions of players who hit the portal be ignored and a different team structure established?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Any word on how former commit Makhi Myles is doing at Sunrise. At one time there was mutual interest but ...

The way college BB has evolved I think you have to worry about making the next seasons team as strong as possible. The largest impact is who we might lose in the portal and who will we be able to sign for a year out of the portal. I think KP will be the biggest target for other schools to try and lure away. He has shown flashes of being really good which shows his potential if he can be more consistent. Providing KP remains we will be solid at the center position......QB a defensive back up. I think RD will give us a solid PF with Abidde a solid backup. CR solid at SG and XB/BC adequate at point. IMHO our biggest need would be to add depth at SG/SF with a sniper. Of course, whatever the position, if you can sign a difference maker you do it but is the program positioned well enough to attract one? Bottom line, IMHO you always play for NEXT season.

Recruit at least 2 PGs. 3 wouldn't hurt.

100%. We should be fighting the set ourselves with the portal. The days of going hard after high schooler and building them up over 4-5 years is over imo. Immediate impact is all that should be measured.

Love PG's but we have already recruited two guards, nevertheless, would never pass on a real stud at any position

Point guards? Or 2s that can play a little 1? Cause I am tired of 2s that can play a little 1.

One of them (Williams) is more of a 2/3. Zion is listed as a CG, but I don't know enough about him to know if he is more of a PG or SG as a primary skill set. You would hope at his height he's more of a PG that can score than a SG with some handles.

You have to look at the Elite teams. He is listed. He's #5 on the postgraduate team.

Class of 2025 only but Casper Pohto (Kenny's little brother) hit nine 3s in a game earlier this week. Casper is a 6'3" combo guard playing in New Jersey.

Mills was at Sunrise the other night to watch Zion Pipkin. Probably had a good look at the Sunrise players.
