An article in his freshman year said he was averaging 24.5 a game. I don't think he is scoring that high anymore as he has evolved as a playmaker who can score in several ways. 17ppg last year is on my head but could be wrong. One of the best available point guards, he's in everyone's top 250 and top 150 for some.

Thanks. He sounds like a good shooter who is versatile.

I think Bowles, or another similar PG is an important signing. While Cotton and Baker could do a standup job as the backup PG, I think our team will be less than it could be with them running the show.

I thought Holland to be a SG, but what do I know.

Rian will be a combo guard ala DW.

I don't know how much you've looked but I've seen him listed as 6'1 a couple of times (Max Preps and ESPN), and 6'2 here.

Sorry, I thought this thread was about DJ Bowles and you were talking about Holland. It appears to me that both RH and DJB could be considered combo guards. Holland may be able to go farther downtown than DJ but Bowles is much more versatile.

The one thing that is obvious to me is that DJ is much more mature and strong and probably more prepared at this time to play Div. I. Holland may need a redshirt.

Suellentrop's article today says Bowles is also considering Providence, Middle Tennessee State and George Mason. It's not 100% clear to me if he obtained the info from a recent interview with Jordan Fair, Bowles' coach. I'm trying to get confirmation. Other media has been silent on who Bowles is now seriously considering. Southern Miss is one I thought might be a finalist since they had a home visit. SMU has been another possiblity, although less likely.

Is it only for the sake of the play on words, or should I take that to mean we are winning him over?
