but you dont know that they are paid!!! Ppls hate for KU on this board is ridiculous. We will never play KU in basketball get over it and move on...and just to clarify WSU is my favorite but I enjoy for all of the state schools

I apologize for my part in getting this thread off track (as if it ever was on track considering the topic) but I take exception to people like pinstripe who post definite statements like K-State players are currently being paid without backing it up with something called FACTS. I know, I know, this is a sports message board --

I know the family of one of KSU's top football players. He gets me free tickets for my friends and family who want to attend KSU football games...I haven’t been to one yet…but I think it's fairly safe to say he's not getting any financial assistance beyond what is deemed ok by the NCAA. And if he is, he’s hiding it pretty well. I don't think he wants to do anything to ruin his shot at the NFL and he'll need one more good season to do that.

If one school reports another school to the NCAA for some kind of violations, they don't need proof to back it up. It's the NCAA's job to look into it and find out. Remember?.. KU started that one a l-o-n-g time ago.
