I get it. And I do agree. But we sure seem to come up on the short end these days listed with schools like this. Seems like it has been that way for a few years.

I wanna start landing some of these types!

Even if no one else leaves, we needed more guards. We lost one to transfer already and we always were short handed at guard this year. If Etienne is expected to be gone we are really short handed. Porter is pretty injury prone, so we need some depth.

        • Mason Archambault - 6'0" 188 LB Guard - South Dakota:
          • 14.5 ppg
          • 3.4 rpg
          • 2.3 apg
          • 45% from fg
          • 39% from three for his career and last season
          • Grad transfer with one year remaining
          • Efficiency rating of 16.7
          • Gets to the rim and is solid enough to absorb the contact. Appears to play bigger than his 6'0" size. Quick hand on defense.
          • Played two years at Gillette College (Juco) before going to South Dakota.

If he can pass out of a double team he'd be an upgrade to Udeze, and an inch or two taller.

Was looking in to him more and he put up some pretty staggering numbers for a true freshman big man. Yes, the competition was probably not the greatest but an efficiency rating of almost 19. Averaged nearly a double double. My guess is that WSU has zero chance at landing this kid. Such a shame.

Adjusted for 40 minutes, he would have averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds. For reference, KP would have been at 15 and 8 adjusted for 40 minutes.

                    #1 on my wish list.

                    • I know many people have already made up their mind. However, the more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes that we are probably going to know if IB is cooked by May. If CP, RC, KP stay and there are some high-quality transfers brought in to replace some of the departures... maybe he has a shot still.

But if those three go, or even two of the three, and the level of recruit brought in is the same as last offseason... woof. It seems like we are offering better caliber players this time around. But that says nothing to them actually coming here.

                      • Until IB learns some discipline and accountability I'm not sure it'll matter a whole lot as to who he brings in.

I don't think that we can afford to lose any of those three and the red shirts.

Will probably end up at Indiana or Purdue.

Saw a good 5 minute "Day in the life" story about him. Very articulate young man. His play reminds me of Wayman Tisdale, may he rest in peace.
