  • Not knocking McFarland as he could be a diamond in the rough but in general, with
over 1400 transfers available and countless HS players the best we have so far is MM
and we are looking seriously at a D2 PG ? Common, man. Surely, we have something
cookin we don't know about yet? Other schools are scooping up established D1 players
and we are holding our breath on a D2 PG doesn't instill much faith for me in IB's
recruiting.............waiting to be proven wrong and some tasty crow !

2 times AA D2 player isn't just some random D2 player

          • Who knows what the thinking is for some of these kids. We all think WSU is the perfect spot for everyone (and obviously we are right), but we haven't landed a standout stud since X, okay Mo Evans. So don't start saying GM landed high recruits right and left. Shamet. Maybe FVV. That's pretty much it. GM built teams based on under the radar and off the radar players and him making them firepissers and coaching them up.

we never get highly recruited studs and land them over top half power 5 schools with regularity. Don't hold IB to some mythical standard that never existed, please.

That being said, I am anxious to start seeing who we are gonna get.

The local kid who went to Iowa State has left there, gone to UNLV, and gone BACK to ISU within two seasons.

To be fair, this was mostly due to the wandering coach.

Not entirely accurate since we are also holding our breath on a random Duke kid and some nobody from Cincinnati.

I don’t give a crap how prestigious it looks. Can they hoop and do they want to come to WSU? That’s all that matters. The rest is just off season noise that’s forgotten when the games start.

One cannot get a better education anywhere in the SEC. Some kids have heads on straight.

My guess is he got bad advice from people saying they were a better “program” and should go there. Lesson learned.

Maybe because all these kids get "slotted" on what level they should play at by the recruiting services and of course once the kid knows that and whoever is in his ears tells them you're P-5 bruh. Don't settle for anything less. Slotted.
