  • New Recruit

Was wondering if anyone else saw the big boy sitting in seats behind Shocker bench and when Marshall came in before the start of the game he shook his hand and then he went somewhere else to sit. Does anyone know if this was a recruit

That was probably Garrett Stutz, who was there with his Dad and 2 brothers.
They sat in section 123 at the top of the lower section. Dad and brothers were on the east end of the section, and Garrett was a couple of rows lower and to the west of them. (I sit in section 119).

I heard, don't know for sure, that Kansas City is saying Garrett is 7'1". He plays for KC North High School this year coached by Kirk Hinrich's Dad.

I also thought I heard on the radio that the KC North team was in attendance. Did anyone else hear that?

      If true, that's pretty cool.

Yes, I believe it was reported by Mike Kennedy after the game and also by coach Jans on the Maxium Tractor Shocker Locker post game radio show.

I know I saw Garrett and a bunch of young guys around him last night. He was probably 12 or so rows in front of me.

It was an eight grader from Brooks who is 6'6". He was on the news the other night. He is a national recruit already.

It was the guy with the fine clothing line! :yahoo:

P.S. Not a bad game for him to attend... yea, it's OK to dream and with Marshall at the helm, you just never know.
