  • Even granting that some of those are PG statistical categories, Mad, that's still impressive for a guy who played at the same school as Alec Burks did.

    • There is something about southpaws. They always seem to be good players, particularly when they play for the opposition.

Of course, we had our Joe Rags, number 1 on your scorecard and number 1 in your heart.

Have the Shockers had any other lefties in recent years? Maybe Malcomb, number 2 on your scorecard and number 1 in your heart. Was Malcomb a lefty?

      Any others?

Yes Malcomb was a lefty as was Matt B. HCGM has a known affinity for southpaw PG's and he's recruited some good ones. My favorite lefty PG from yesteryear is Tony Martin. The man defined smooth.

Correct. Malcombs are for bad hair days.

            • I think you are referring to are lefty point guard, Marcus Armstrong.

              • Not a PG, but Aubrey Sherrod was a fairly decent lefty.

Graham Hatch was another lefty that left his mark on the Shocker program.

My favorite of the Armstrongs, even though his father Neil, landed on the moon.

                          • Reading some of the reports makes it sound like Tyrone and Markis really hit it off on the official visit. Just think about all the variables that go into recruiting. Two players that didn't hit off on the same visit make the chances for landing one of them pretty slim. Can't wait until November 12.

With one very big difference. We had Cle for 2 years and Malcolm for only 1 year. Tyrone and Markis we will have for perhaps 4 years each.
