Demetric holds a Shocker record, but I have forgotten it. I seem to recall that it has to do with post season play or wins. Maybe it is total team victories for a single player's tenure.
It was total wins by a player, although he may have already been eclipsed or will be soon. Cotton will likely be the new leader after this year.

I think Cotton needs 20 wins to become the winningest player.

      Williams had 25, 29, 27, & 30 = 111

      Cotton has 27, 30, and 35 = 92

      VanVleet has 30 & 35 = 65

Problem was he didn't know when to turn it off - kept going until he was under the bucket and then turned it over trying to make a wild-ass pass. D Will is the number one reason I have fewer and grayer hairs.
Too much speed and adrenalin at the same time. :-)

I guess the big question is: Can Cotton win 20 games this season?
          It's gonna be a nail-biter.

Knock on wood for good health. We'll get to 20...just knock on wood that all our key players are healthy for it.

              Yes.

I'm excited to see what happens if Marshall plays 4 other players at the same time.

It would be a little humorous if in a few years we are killing it with two guards from KC and a team up north is still having guard problems.

More than a little. I bask in the thought.

We saw shades of it with VanVleet and Armstead on the floor at the same time. Which one is the PG and which is the SG? With all the combo guards Marshll is signing, it's possible that which one is playing PG is decided after the ball is across half court and the defense shows itself.

Imagine trying to set up a man-to-man D when you don't know who the primary ball handler is going to be. Or trying to D a late shot clock situation when both outside guards have the handles and moves to take it to the basket with the ability to finish or dish.

Wherever Marshall is coaching in the next 10 years could get to be known a "Point Guard U".
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

and in the 2013 final four against louisville, how many different players brought the ball upcourt against the cards fearsome press (louisville was a pretty big favorite going in, lets face it, in large part because of their iron-trap full court press). 'shockers handled it magnificently.. until the very end. 'very inspiring, and gutsy, whomever coached that maneuver (marshall? jans?).

also, i really liked the way that armstead passed the ball down low from the wing (when ffv was at point).

                          • A good video from Tyrone's HS days:

No question about his being tough, but going 1 against 5 over the entire season might even wear our Cotton down. Even he would have to be really dragging in the post season. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I just can't see any way he makes it past the Sweet 16 though.

But there is no doubt in my BB mind, Cotton could definitely win 20 games all by himself.
