Think how hyped this kid would be if he had a highlight video and we hadn't signed a 4* PG.

While that's a nice minute and a half of made 3's, to me a highlight video shows a players entire game and is 3-4+ minutes long.
Don't get me wrong, the kid can stroke it."Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

That's the easiest thing to stop for an athletic defender. Very few teams play zone these days. Just ask Sean Ogirri in 2007 when the clamps were put on him. At his height, if he could learn to post up smaller players that defend him, and he learns how to move without the ball and get to the free throw line, he could be a dangerous offensive threat. 12 pts. is not a dominant high school player.

Watch Derail Green's videos and highlights on Hudl. More info: Klein Forest High School - Boys Varsity Basketball / SG / Class of 2012 / Houston, TX
Also he averaged 16.8 this year, I think Hawkins averaged 16.6 or so. Not trying to compare or insult Hawkins just pointing that out.Last edited by Ta town; April 19, 2012, 11:33 PM.

Derail lead the league in scoring and was one of the top rebounders. If you watch just the first 2 or 3 of the 24 videos, you'll see he has a complete game. Inside, outside scoring, passing for assists, blocks, driving the ball down from the backcourt, backing players down, driving and using the right and left hand for scoring.

I'll tell you who he reminds me of. He reminds me of Aaron Ellis. He is a much better shooter and offensive player than Aaron. However, Aaron played exclusively a face up game and he coudn't learn how to develop a post up game with his back to the basket and that hurt his offensive prowess. I was a big Aaron Ellis fan because he had long arms, was very aggressive on the defensive end, he could rebound fairly well, and he did the little things. He wasn't very effective immediately though. While I think that because he is a much better shooter, Green will be a better player, he still has to gain aggression, etc.
