I can see us trying to make room for Perry but I just don't see how we kick one of our players off the team for anything less. No offense to DeRail, but I like our team and would like to see the current players have a chance before signing additional players.

We don't know yet whether someone would have to leave for us to have room.

I'm pretty sure he would be, like Perry, a SF at WSU. I also see him listed more often at 6-7. Probably is somewhere in between or perhaps still growing a little. Sure looks like he has the speed to defend the 3. I've also seen opinion that he is better suited for D-1 SF rather than PF. Probably due to having to bulk up to be an effective banger on the inside. He also has a good looking jumper from fairly long distance.

I agree. It appears we have one more spot to fill. Perry is the obvious first choice, but after that, this guy sounds like a pretty good option.

I'm just killing time at work, waiting for tomorrow's announcement. A question occurred to me while I was "working hard" at the job. :innocent:

How do Green and Gavin Thurman compare? If we could get Perry and one of them, which one would you want?

If Perry picks somebody else and we could have one of them, which one? Would we want both? (Or is that too many 3s & 4s?)

Hadn't seen the Armstead announcement (though it wouldn't suprise me IF he gets a scholarship).

As for Green vs. Gavin, I'll take Gavin since he's local, however, I am doubtful at this point that he will be eligible to play due to some academic issues. I'm still hopeful that he becomes a Shocker at some point!

Derail made the decision this afternoon. He said,
"It's a great place. I fit the program perfectly. The support that the fans bring and the students are unbelievable. Shocker Nation is the best."

He also added that Toure Murry played a role in his decision.

Is this an omen for the Perry Ellis situation? Perhaps he knows something we don't.
