      As I see it:

      1 - Rags, Williams
      2 - Murry, Kyles
      3 - Smith, Ede
      4 - Hall, Anacreon, White
      5 - Stutz, Ehimen

With Ede and White both being possible sleepers. This is assuming that Wessel and Cotton will redshirt.
I agree. I don't see Smith playing the 4 except in special situations (e.g. severe fouls, a "tricky" small lineup).
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I think Cotton will see playing time at PG ahead of Williams.

Someone's been playing with the posts. ;-)

Comments about Smith playing the 4 were made prior to Anacreon as was Snap's original post.

Agreed, and as mentioned before, I am buying all the Demetric Williams stock I can get my hands on.

I could be wrong, but isn't MA on an academics scholie? I'll have to go look at his recruiting thread but I think he is one of the players that contacted Marshall after the NIT, which would make him eligible for an academic scholie

How does that make him eligible for an academic?

It’s possible that both Mitchell and Armstead might qualify for the non-recruited walk on exception, thus allowing them to receive “institutional aid” through any scholarships that they might qualify for and still not count against the 13 limit of scholarships.

                              From the Duke Basketball Report:

“If you are a recruited athlete, receiving financial aid does count against the scholarship limits. So, you are correct that if Simmons received need-based financial aid from UNC, he'd count against the limit of 13. Thus, teams can only recruit walk-ons that can pay full freight.

However, it's a different situation for a non-recruited walk-on. For example, Steve Johnson. He was never contacted by Duke in high school and coaches showed no interest in him. He was admitted to Duke based on his academic credentials and could have applied for financial aid if he needed it (by the way, I obviously have no idea if he did or not). Duke held open tryouts and Steve made the team as a walk-on. As far as I know, he'd get to keep his previously determined financial aid offer regardless of the fact that he made the basketball team as a walk-on.

That is to say, there is a distinction between a recruited walk-on and a non-recruited walk-on in the eyes of the NCAA. It does seem kinda silly, but I guess it also makes sense. There are too many players who would get full rides to schools like Duke based on financial need. That's how Harvard has been recruited pretty successfully now - they obviously don't offer any athletic scholarships, but basically give significant scholarships to the team based on financial need.”
