Evan is the one I wonder about. He really should have RS this year. It would have been best for him and the team. He's going to have to bust his ass to see the court with all the talent that will be around him. I don't see Baker paying his own way since he already did that this past year as he was promised a 'ship for the next four. I have no idea what kind of income his family has and if it would even be worth considering for them. Same goes for Evan as far as financials go. I have no idea what they can afford. I still think that one, if not both, of Hawkins and/or Uwadiae won't be here due to academics.

Somewhere around the 1st week of June, Summer School will begin. Around that time should be some "pick-up" games where maybe we can get a glimpse of our Shox. I have heard that D-Will and Ron Baker have been shooting 'lights out' and playing well as of late. A few witnesses have watched Lufile play and feel he has nice post moves inside, limited shooting range, and is quite able with his "ups" to do some of our 'heavy lifting' inside. Malcolm is a keeper, for sure, for sure. We will love him on both sides of the court.
How about this swift scenario in a game next Season. "Opponent XYZ has shot partially blocked by EO into the strong hands of Carl "I'm back" Hall. Hall clears it to FVV 'on the fly' who passes to a wide open 'D-Will-do' at the elbow, who passes up a shot and feeds a "more open" C. Earlybirdgetsthehoop' who outruns the foes flock, and lays in a "tear-drop" for the easy basket."Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

If he cannot, playing fewer minutes this year than last is not good either. Pick your poison. Even if we do not have a schollie problem, I believe he should RS. If we are in a pinch, that will be up to Evan, his family, and the coaching staff.

My non-insider's prediction is that:
1. No one will transfer,
2. No one currently on a basketball scholarship will move off,
3. Uwadiae will get stuck in the clearinghouse because of his school-hopping and take a fifth year somewhere before showing up at WSU next season, and
4. Wessel will wisely redshirt (which would indeed have been to his advantage this past season) and work on his skills in anticipation of a productive three more years.
Our worriers protest far too much and still can't get over their ingrained expectation that the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.

Whether it is this Season or next, from what I hear, we for sure want Uwadiae here. A buddy of mine that coaches at the high school level has seen him play and really liked his potential. Also, I sure hope we see Mr. Hawkin's here because I really have a notion that he would for sure make our rotation.
The competition for each and every slot and every minute played, will be intense and reviewed with a "fine toothed comb." We will continue to be known as a very deep team where 8-10 players will see much action often IMP. The match ups and performance of each player will be of essence to earn playing time because of the number of solid players that can play more than one position and we will be at least 2 deep in every position.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
