Hell of a comeback that the Shocks HAD to have from Sergio de Vilchez. Trailing 4-1 in the third, he ran off the last 5 games to take the match and the Valley title 0-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Way to go Shocks and I'm ecstatic for our coach and my friend Brad Louderback. Way to go Brad!!!!

Thanks to everybody for the updates. Great win for the Shockers."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

goshockers.com report
It marks the third tournament title under head coach Brad Louderback, while the 25 MVC men's tennis titles are the most all-time in Valley history.

Apparently, the Shocks and the Geese aren't the best of buds on the tennis court:

Quite an interesting finish to end the title clinching #6 singles match.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 2, 2016, 11:35 AM.

The Shockers (17-10) and winners of the Missouri Valley Conference will meet Arkansas (19-8) in the Round of 64 in Stillwater, OK. WSU's four-team region, hosted by No. 16 overall seed Oklahoma State (18-7), also features Bryant (12-11).
A pretty decent regional for the Shocks, especially considering the #28 ranked Lady Shocks have been sent all the way to Coral Gables, FL for the regional. Of course, if you had to choose maybe Coral Gables sounds pretty good despite the long distance.

Shocker Sr. Tin Ostojic receives a bid to participate in the NCAA singles championship. Hopefully, his ankle and his stamina will be much improved by then.
Wichita State's tennis teams will need to win two dual matches next weekend to reach to the NCAA Championship site in Tulsa, Okla., but their top players are already guaranteed a trip.
