for what it is worth, the ref called the deflected ball out not because Murry was on the line, but because the ball bounced on the line before Murry grabbed it.

… and it appeared that Murry should have caught the ball when Gabe saved it; instead he let it slip through his hands and hit the line… he grabbed it on his second attempt. It seemed like we had several bounces go the other way during crunch time. I’m not sure if it was a lack of hustle/focus or simply bad breaks? All I know is that it’s enough to drive me to drink. :(

I also recall Stutz grabbing a rebound and then letting UNI take it away from him… that did drive me to drink. :banghead:

I agree, WstateU.. Gabe flipped it back nice and soft, but Murry just does not have the best of hands.

Yep, Murry lost focus for a second and should have caught the ball before it hit the line.

Get your holier than thou "I wear the stripes for my 6th grade girls basketball league so I know more than you do" sh*t out of here.

Seriously, go to a referee message board and stroke it. You'll be more useful there.
You sure are in a "fowl" mood, SF. ;-)
Sorry, but this guy seems to flip my switch at the worst of times. His timing is impeccable.

I just hate the people calling games from their tv's and think they know more than any of us while their career consists of volunteering as an official in a girl's elementary league.

Well, here's his car after the game... you'd be in a "foul mood" too. :D

It certainly didn't help.. That was not a fun drive home for a multitude of reasons.

Agreed. Those type of players who can't handle it during crunch time (i.e. MSU game) shouldn't be out on the court.

I'm sorry if it hurts, but it's true.

If they don't get revenge on Feb. 12th and Feb. 26th, then they have no Cahonas.

The Shocks have worked their way back from the back-to-back home losses to MSU and UNI to essentially make each remaining game on their schedule an opportunity, especially with MSU falling to Evansville.

Opportunity #1 - Defeat a decent Indiana State team on the road.

                    Check.

Opportunity #2 - Defeat an improving Illinois State team at home. Whether any future games are still an opportunity depend on us taking care of business against the Redbirds.

I guess we have one more to add to the list of missed opportunities.

Maybe this team can set a record for the most missed opportunities in one season by a Shocker team.

Maybe we need to start a "who will we play in the NIT" thread. Zzzzzzz.

this has to be one of the most disappointing seasons in a while. we have lost 5 out of our 6 games by a total of 14 points (not including SDSU). Late game situations have killed us this year.....my question is
                            ---Is it poor coaching?
---Is it not recruiting the right kids?

Another season like this....and I don't think GM will be around long.
My HOPE is that we win Arch Madness ---and put the rest of the season to rest.

Now I understand exactly how it is that Tulsa U. has averaged 23 wins for the last few years, yet their fans are really frustrated and disappointed.

Put the booze & the peyote to the side...HCGM, as bad as he butchered not full-court pressing the last 4.5 seconds, will be here as long as he wants to.
