Is it possible that we can beat ISU on Saturday? Yes. Is it likely? probably not. Indiana St. is on a roll, playing with confidence. Wichita St. has been inconsistent all season, has gotten off to slow starts in just about every game, and doesn't know the meaning of the word defense. Yes, we can get back in this Valley race, we're only 1 game out. But some things need to change, and it needs to start with HCGM put a little more emphasis on stopping guards from driving the lane.

Not seeing the game I have no idea on who to put the blame. I didn't realize Hatch was taking a lot of heat. I thought most thought it was a team effort (or lack of) to lose the game. I guess some think it was a bench problem.

This game, like the Missouri State game was lost in the 1st half perhaps the refs had a little to do with it. Their #11 is a Shocker killer. But he had a couple of drives where traveling could have been called & he gets a foul. But he made his shots. There was a questionable out-of-bounds call that resulted in a UNI basket.
Since the Bradley game, WSU has started sloppy & knocked the crap out of the rim. There were 2 teams that too big of a hole was dug.

just because it is ugly does not mean it is a travel. Most fans do not understand the true definition of travelling, nor do they understand most other basketball rules. I will agree with the out of bounds call. From the replay that was shown, Murry was nowhere close to the line. However, the officials didn't allow UNI to drive time after time with WSU playing crappy defense.

The primary problem (this is for the you-know-who's) is not Hatch.

Maybe you have some mysterious bond with Mr. Hatch but he hasn't been as solid as in the past. He'll get the occasional three, the occasional hustle rebound, but also will the ball stripped, have his ankles broke, or simply stand around as well. I think Ben Smith is better at this point. And yes I know Hatch hustles.

The problem is Toure "non-factor" Murry.

You can rip on Hatch as much as your limited knowledge permits, but at least he works.

Murry just drifts on offense and was consistently abused on defense tonight.

I watched TM get burned on 7 different possessions. He either was torched off the dribble drive or did a piss poor job on switches. His offensive game (a total oxymoron) is non-existent.

His off ball movement (or lack thereof) consists of floating around the perimeter and then standing around like its 2008-09 again, waiting to hit a last second shot.

I really, really hope Williams is not hurt. He is a much more viable option right now than Murry.

This part of your analysis I can't really disagree with. The two turnovers right at the beginning of the game already gave me a sour taste in my mouth. I thought TM did do a better at not taking retarded shots and his defense at times was very good. But I think he should be coming off the bench at this point.

As I've said before...I don't think our players are getting better and progressing as much as they should. We seemed to have leveled-off just below most NCAA tournament caliber teams.
