We need for them to finish the season as a top 50 team. Where they are today or February 18 doesn't really matter. It only matters if they are top 50 team when that committee meets and looks at all of the Stat sheets.

Losing to NE can't help. Maybe they were looking ahead to our game :lol: or maybe the George Mason game.

I'm really enjoying watch Utah State whip Nevada! They are sure good at home (and I guess away too this year). Wild Bill (isn't that his name?) in a tea pot outfit is classic!

I hope they're this good next year when they come here. I wonder how much talent they graduate?

Warren Nolan has VCU at 64. They have plenty of time to get back into the top 50. George Mason is at 30.

As of tonight anyway, George Mason is looking like the much better opponent.

Be careful, with our poor history in BB games, VCU very well might come in our house and beat us. If UMKC can do it, and MSU and UNI this year, we aren't exactly Utah State at home.

Ya if UMKC could beat us 3 years ago then VCU has a chance beat us in the BB this year. It's a good point.

But seriously I do hope we play better in the BB game this year than we have in the past. Sounds like VMU might be a top 100 opponent rather than top 50 but it would still be a good win that could help our seeding. Better than a loss at home to UMKC anyways.

While I certainly hope we win and would definitely prefer a win, if we do lose, I would rather lose to the #30 rpi team than the #64 rpi team.

Normally I would say playing a #64 rpi team in the BB is probably worthless, this year it could be helpful. Since we only have one top 100 win right now, at least it gives us a chance to get another top 100 win.
