Sexton: "I hope I'm not being too presumptuous, but why didn't your marketing team do more to promote the game?"
SMG: "We thought you were going to do that."
Sexton: "Ummm, we thought you were going to do that."
<Double, on-the-phone facepalm followed by heavy sighs>
Sexton: "See you tomorrow."
SMG: "Ok, have a good one."
Let's hope it is sold out.

WSU could probably promote it, despite it being at IBA. I don't know exactly who was in charge of it, but it's failed on many fronts. I'm kinda surprised it has sold as well as it has without any marketing of it at all.
Another swing and miss by the WSU athletic department.
I also hope it gets sold out. We need to show NCAA committee members it can be done. It would also look good for PE to see.
I hope it's a rabid atmosphere tomorrow and the boys give us something to scream about.

For all the talk of the "great" WSU fans....more than 4000 tickets remain for this game.
Will there be more at the first Thunder game that opened the arena?
While I understand there is no Joan of Arc Bluejay Discount plan to sit in the upper bowl (instead of $Free-$10 tickets try finding one for less than $26 plus the insufferable and punitive "service fees"...fee for what service exactly? I am doing all the work.....can you imagine a service fee to shop at Walmart?) and it's 4 days away from Christmas in a terrible local economy where it was recently announced unemployment has jumped to 8.6%, still I ask, where is all the great fan support?
FWIW, the service fees are convenience fees for not having to get your lazy ass.. :D out to the box office to buy the tickets. Unfortunately, this is standard now in the industry.
It could be worse. The Tulsa game's service fees are $4-$5 per ticket. For most concerts and other events, they are typically $10-$15 per ticket..Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

That sounds like being fiscally responsible to me. Or lucky. Either way I don't see how that's a swing and miss?Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Seems to me Shocker fans are willing to travel just about anywhere for a game. Why would they NOT go to Intrust?“Talk low, talk slow and don't say too much.”

fyi... please don't copy the photo, it's likely copyrighted (I'm just doing them a marketing favor). ;-)
Looks like the first marketing I have seen of this game. An email about 24 hours before game time. They must have had $0 budget for Tulsa game marketing.
Maybe it was an experiment to see if they could sell out in a bad economy, with expensive tickets ($102, $52, $26) and NO marketing.
