Yes, props to that caller for calling in and bringing up the problem. Apparently MIke had not heard there was a problem. Obviously not a Shockernetter. If somone know's his e-mail, they should send him a link to this thread. Maybe he could share that with Mark Ewing tomorrow.

Somebody turned off the zoom, IBA looks great on TV.

I talked to some friends who watched the game on a large flat screen TV. They said the picture was great too. They even said you could read everything. Nothing was cut off like it usually is.

Maybe someone at Kansas 22 read Shockernet after the LSU game and made some changes.

All the production items were fixed, but my wife, who casually watches as I scream at the TV, commented, "what the hell is wrong with the picture."

I just replied, "at least I can watch it instead of listening on the computer."

Question: when the refs go look at the monitor (for instance on that early Kyles shot), are they just watching the broadcast, or is there some other internal feel that they view? It sounded like they were just watching the regular 22 feed from what Bruce was describing. I believe channel 22 actually cost us a point last night, because they kept showing that one replay over and over where you couldn't really tell, then finally, about 5 minutes after the shot had happened and the refs had already made their decision based on that angle, they finally came up with that other angle that clearly showed his toe behind the line. Why couldn't they have gotten that angle up for the refs to see earlier?

That long delay, perhaps caused by 22, was a momentum killer. DK's bucket made the score 13-7 (should have been 14-7) in the first 3 1/2 minutes of the game. After the delay, the Shocks scored only one time midway through the next 6 minutes and Tulsa lead 20-16.

I recently had a long conversation with a cox account manager due to me switching to direct tv and cancelling my cable. Through the conversation i expressed my displeasure with wsu sporting events on 22 and was informed wsu operates and owns all the equipment and gives cox the signal to broadcast. The better broadcast could have been due to using IBA's equipment instead of someone fixing the zoom problem. I guess we'll find out next tues.

On a recent Sports Daily show on KFH someone called in to talk about the problems with KS22 and they got to talking about HD. Bruce seemed to think they could have HD for KS22 next season.

Of course, if WSU owns all the equipment, then all this will depend on whether or not WSU wants to upgrade all their equipment to HD.

I cannot imagine any reason that WSU wants to be in the production business.

From what I understand, they aren't.

Metro Sports, out of Kansas City, produces the games.

I might be way off base, but if I remember right, it's all contracted out.

I think he's talking about the production quality. I've lost count of how many times during the post game that the broadcast is interrupted by some other program bleeding through or sometimes just silence. I don't listen to the game (at least when it's on TV) on the radio, but does it happen during the game too?

Kennedy is the best in the biz. We're very, very fortunate to have him and I doubt Kochhead is talking about him.
You are correct sir. I love MK and DD. That is why i get so pissed that they cant help them out with a decent production.

Guess I have never really noticed too many problems with it.
I prefer to listen to the radio more than watch it sometimes.
                                Kennedy is that good.
Do you listen to the coaches show? Did you listen Monday? What a mess...
