Isn't Metro Sports responsible for producing the broadcast? Is the problem with them rather than Cox? I mean, there are plenty of channels that aren't HD (fewer now than 2 years ago for sure) that don't look THAT bad.

Whoever is responsible needs to bring their equipment up to 21st century standards!

Cox has the game that are archived and you can watch them again and they are a better quality and not cutoff like they are on Channel 22. That says to me the issue is with 22.
Yep. It's Cox. And that just proves it. They need to adjust their settings on Channel 22 when a game's on.

Probably an easy flip of the switch that they simply have overlooked.

That is strange. Because I'm in the same area and it is available in my area.

Uhhhhhhh.. NO. People don't hate on Cox just to hate. They are one of the lower-end cable companies in this country. And until AT&T got involved, they were the pretty much the monopoly of non-satellite tv. They took advantage of that. Their rates are WAY higher than other areas around the country. (We're really getting screwed here. People out east can get the same stuff here for half the cost. It's unbelievable.)

They're providing the service because they're getting paid to. It's as simple as that. And it's because WSU has went to bed with them. I realize Cox probably gives them the most publicity, but WSU could go with AT&T or just get games exclusively on a local channel (KWCH?) and everyone would be able to enjoy the games without having to submit themselves to the Cox BS. It's the only reason I'm still with them. I mostly stay in for games otherwise I'd switch and leave the house to watch (inconvenient).

Cox is an overpriced, subpar cable company that inherited a large customer base from Multimedia Cablevision.

        They suck because they suck.

We just made the switch to UVerse because we've been sick of the problems with our TV connection and more importantly our Internet connection, we used to lose Internet access once a day but haven't had a single problem since the switch and it's wireless to boot.

The particular housing addition I'm in its not available, but the other addition 2 blocks away it is

And I totally agree they are overpriced. Most of the complaints I hear about Cox concern their customer service & quality of product, neither of which I have ever experienced any problems with (cox22 aside)

                Service? SERVICE???

I called in one time to report that BOTH my TV and my internet connection were down.

The support person wanted me to do a bunch of diagnostics on my computer to figure out what was wrong. The support person's conclusion was that I had a defective cable modem and they wouldn't be able to help me until I bought a new one. Completely disconnecting the cable modem and every splitter and running the TV direct from the cable box would not convince the guy that I had no signal at all. He would not report that my service was lost.

The next time I called (about 6 months later) the "support person" told me there was a note on my account that I had a defective cable modem and they wouldn't be able to give me any support until I corrected that.

With Cox, you have to hope they outsource their support. It would have to get better.

Had modem connection problem here for years. Got told to buy a new modem despite having one 6 months old. Wiring outside is probably the reason why I'm having problems since its 20 years old. Cox help online checked my connection & said nothing is wrong.

Every day, I have to disconnect coax from splitter, let it sit 5 minutes then reconnect it. Seems like static or something is building up on the line.

And if you make a service call, they charge atleast $50 just to come out.

As I said I just switched to U-verse. The salesperson told me that Kansas Now 22 is an over the air signal. He went out and bought me, at no charge, an over the air antenna that he believes will allow me to pick up the signal at no cost. When I take the time to plug it in, I will let you know the results.

Complete. Kansas 22 is an exclusive item of Cox. So unless he got you a satellite dish and decoder to decrypt the Cox proprietary signal, you aren't getting Kansas 22.

My hunch is the salesman was thinking of the low power local stations like KCTU.

Someone called in to the Coach's Show tonight asking about the bad quality of KS22 during the LSU game.

Mike Kennedy said he would probably see Mark Ewing tomorrow before the Tulsa game and would let him know.
