Cold shooting, and lack of defense, letting USC shoot 60%. I think the loss of Tony Young and Jamal Tatum is a big loss. I dont see SIU being as good as last yr. Still very solid but very beatable.Comment

Shocking, but they did make the finals of the tourney...
Their only consolation is that many teams this year have bad losses (but to teams that aren't supposed to win). At least they lost to USC, a BCS team with high profile players.
If anything, it might make SIU more dangerous in the post season, after they have had time to regroup and get their act together (perception = they need to get their act together)....
SIU will get over this pretty quickly .....Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

It was just one game, early in the season. It could be just an anomole.
That said, last night I saw the SIU team that SubGod and myself had been predicting. Poor shooting and if the Falker-Shaw combination isn't succeeding (Shaw was largely invisible, sans a couple of 3's), they'll get beat.
Though I didn't expect them to be out-defensed, but they were, and it wasn't even close.Comment
