I didn't have to download anything when I watched the St. Mary's game on my Mac, and I am using Safari, not Firefox.

              Just sayin'.
That's strange, I didn't have to download anything to watch the other night. There were hundreds of people all on there watching the game and chatting.

I clicked on another one of the games listed that's currently playing and it came up and is playing. I wonder if that's not just some sort of advertisement to get you to download Firefox. I'm not going to download anything unless I absolutely have to, but I'll wait until after the game starts to see if it still requires that. I have a feeling that it won't.

Apparently the people that are sourcing the streams can choose which technology (codec) is required to watch the stream. So depending which streams you click on you may or may not already have it installed.

Veetle, TVU, TVants are all quite safe video players that are used by many streamers. If you have a doubt create a restore point in windows prior to it and revert back after the game
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

It says on the web page "The stream quality is subject to js1974's computer and internet speed."

That sounds like someone tapping in to the TV broadcast and rebroadcasting over the internet or something. Sort of like that other web site no one is supposed to talk about.

I don't think Shockervision is tapped off a TV broadcast.

Better hope that guy has a fast connection.

I tested it with the Illinois/Gonzaga game and got an immediate picture with no Veetle download prompt. The picture quality was better than YouTube or Hulu.

However, I just tried the Indy State game and was told I needed to download Veetle.

I'm hoping the WSU game won't need it.
