Really, BCS? You have to even bring the one-upmanship into a thread about halftime entertainment?
Come on, Steele, lighten up. I've taken my shots at the Cat, too -- and no doubt will in the future as well -- but how is what he said one-upsmanship? All he was doing was observing that he sees the Cobras regularly and thinks they're great. What's wrong with that?
There probably wouldn't be anything wrong with it if bc scat didn't feel the need to put a ksu slant or take a jab at WSU with everything she post.
If it was a personal observation she was trying to convey, she could have said "I" instead of 'We". Just sayin....

It WAS just an observation and by "we" I meant at the Bram. I was just agreeing that the Cobras are great and, as a KC native, glad to hear they were popular in Wichita.
Do you have a pipe band in Wichita? Nothing gets my blood going more than listening to the pipes. Of course being that I have a Great Kilt, I'm probably into Celtic music more than the average person.
Holy crap. I just hope they give fair warning before bringing bagpipes into CKA so I can get far, far away.
Q. How can you tell if a bagpipe is out of tune?
A. Someone is blowing into it.
Oh, and a smiley ... :)

Kilts with no scivvies underneath might be more of a package deal than you want, especially if you sit down in the high dollar seats. Unless you're into that sort of thing, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss
I remember back in the day, when 7 foot tall, scary Wu-Shock would try to shoot free throws with those over-sized oven mit-type gloves. Then, little kids would try to come on the court to help rebound. Wu would stare them down, point at them - as if to say "get off the court". I thought that was histerical. That was fun half time entertainment.
Wait a minute. You're a KC native, and you went to KSU instead of KU?
Maybe you're not half as bad as the folks here are indicating.
And the KC bit does explain your instinctive hoighty-toightiness, you can't help it! It was in the very air you breathed as a child.
Kansas City, KS - Wyandotte County, NOT Johnson County! But KC does rock, ya know :)
Nobody cares. And I mean absolutely nobody.
They say Wyandotte County is the Detroit of Kansas City.
What a nice person!
The truth hurts I know. At least I got a response out of ya with this one, unlike the tv thread, where you got your rear handed to ya so hard, that you were left silenced and have only returned to comment on an unrelated post about a picture and your tremendous track and field abilities, or lack thereof.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Did I say I was a great steeplechaser? I just commented on a funny picture and of course you had to throw in some nasty comment. I did really enjoy the steeple but my specialty was the 880 (800 meters for you kids out there).

It's called cause and effect. You've made nasty comments about WSU so nasty comments are returned to sender.
Simple concept BSCat.
Still no response on "the no tv games outside of DooDah" comment that was buried at you. I don't blame ya. I would try to forget about it and ignore it if I was in your outed shoes too.

I had to double check to see what this thread was actually about..."Halftime Shows." I vote for Fever & putie tat square off at halfcourt of the Creighton game in what will be called "I can name that dis in ???? words" hosted by Kung Wu; with a special spot light performance by Matty P...sign me up!!!
So far, for local and should be reasonably cheap entertainment, I think we got:
1) local dunk contest championship
2) alumni game
3) bag pipe bands
4) Marching Cobras
5) frisbee dogs
6) basketball instruction school talent show
7) shockerfever and crew dogpile on bcscat
Sounds like a good lineup already.
8) Walking Waves
