Double Header?

Preliminary stages of a possible WSU/K-State and MSU/Missouri double header at the Sprint Center mentioned on BearNation. Anybody heard about it?

Probably as solid as the rumor a year or so ago that WSU & KSU would play 1 in Koch, 1 in Manhattan and 1 in Sprint. There was some hope that would come to be but according to that Washington Post article a few weeks ago we can "keep dreaming".

We don't have a problem playing Wichita St or any other MVC school. KU is the one that has the problem with WSU.

I think we all know how likely it is that KSU will ever play WSU. Not impossible, but not likely.

MU agreeing to play MUS is WAAAAYY less likely than KSU vs. WSU. Mizzou playing Misery State is about as likely as KU playing WSU.

I think it's even less likely than it was before the recent re-alignment saga, when KSU and MU were looking like the 11th and 12th members of the MVC. They have to maintain the facade for Mother Texas, so she will keep them in the herd.

As much as my feelings towards K-State are just a few notches above "couldn't care less," I do like their coach Martin. Additionally, he seems like the kind of guy that doesn't get caught up in the politics and nuances saving face when scheduling. He's more like a "bring it on" kind of guy.
I think we'll see K-State and WSU play in the near future.

It was the season we were playing at KS Colosseum, whenever that was.
