Yes I have heard that as well. Also, Texas and OU will always play 5 home and 4 road games, so teams will rotate a 2 for 1 with them, which I am sure will go over like a lead pipe with the north teams.

Why not? I was under the impression the Big XII would stay at 10. Has something else been reported to the media?

They'll want to get back to 12 ASAP. The championship game alone will make it happen.

Texas and OU don't want the championship game, as it provides another BCS obstacle. Expansion wouldn't occur because of that.

I've been curious if that was going to happen. If true, it means there will be no "north" or "south" teams, just one unified conference.

Anytime the northern teams feel at all upset by this travel stipulation or any other put on them, they should just remember the panic they were feeling about being out in the cold if the PAC-16 scenario took place, shut their mouths, and be thankful for the tens of millions of dollars they are getting by Texas and OU staying put.

Just thinking out loud here. Doesn't Tx and OU play at a "neutral" site each year, thereby leaving the remaining games as 4 home and 4 roadies?

Yes, they play at the Cotton Bowl on the Texas State Fair grounds. It's during the Texas State Fair I believe in Dallas. It's billed as the Red River Shootout or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Looks like Utah to pac-12 is happening.......good move by the pac, the MWC was making a move as a strong football conference. The takes away one of thier big 4 football programs (tcu, byu, utah, bsu).

I agree that it is a good move for the PAC10. They will now have enough teams to hold a conference football championhip game.

Ironically enough the Texas12 no longer will be able to hold a football championship game. It was the formation of a football championship game (that Osborne strongly opposed) that began UNL's discomfort with the Texas12.
