Man, it's been a rough off season for Missouri St.

First Michael Porter was injured in a serious car accident in June could miss quite a bit of time this season:

You hate to see any player miss playing time or a season through injuries. It's particularly bad for the Valley as Missouri St's star is rising and helping the conference's, and its teams, status. Hope things are better than reported for the Bears.

Sucks because Pick was feeling great after just coming off some surgery at the end of the season. We still basically return our starting 5 and 6th man but it will be up to some frosh to provide depth.

Creighton fans under Altman were typically snobby, Northern Iowa fans came across as "nouveau riche" ... so it will be interesting to see what mixed-monster the Creighton fans will turn into under McDermott.

Just a rumor, no official word, but apparently Jackie Carmichael (ISU Red) is on crutches with a boot.

One rumor is that he did not attend classes (fairly reputable source) and is believed to have had some sort of surgery.
