If Marshall Leaves....

There have been two openings come available that Marshall's name has been thrown out for: Iowa and Auburn. If for some reason he decides to leave, who would replace him? Now Sexton doesn't have as many connections as we would hope for, so the pool would probably be limited. Maybe a middle Mid-Major coach or KU/K-State assistants. Now, picture this: Danny Manning. A strong post coach, he would be able to help Stutz, Jerome, and EO. This could lead to stronger post play, and with an assistant who is strong with guards, we could set up to be a strong team. Also, Danny Manning is familiar with Evan Wessel's style of play, do to his recruiting of Perry Ellis. Now, Perry Ellis loves Danny Manning. IF Danny can pull PE, think of how amazing that would be.

Well, ES did get his Ph. D from KU. And he has been at WSU since then after being a WSU alum. So, no I don't know his connections, but I don't assume his connections are too widespread.

I still believe Steve Eck has a lot of pull throughout the CL. Hire Eck and Ellis is ours. Not a bad fallback plan if you ask me. Plus Eck would never leave us in like a gazillion years.

Don't count on it. Marshall is compensated pretty damn well for a so-called mid-major head coach- IIRC in the top 5 of non-BCS coaches.

Turg's pay increase when he moved to TAMU was fairly mundane, from a percentage standpoint.

Come on dude....you just get the players and throw the ball out there and I guess you just assume he can coach a lick...I think its a horrible plan...I would hope that we could get someone with a little more coaching experience....If we were going to go this route I would rather have Mr. Cooper.

Ill say this though...not to many people gave Frank Martin a chance in hades of succeeding.
