Duke sucks but Butler was a great frocking team. If the Shocks ever did that I would fall right dead.

Kind of fitting that the only team that could score 60+ against Butler would be the team that could beat them.

Anyone, anyone, that doesn't think Butler is every bit as good as Duke, every night, doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Butler belonged, more than anyone.


Few wanted Butler to win more than I, but Duke does it the right way too. I don't understand much of the hatred for Duke, but I guess to each their own.

And free throws early that could have given them a bit more confidence and made the Dukies question themselves a bit. That Duke was not behind much I think was pyschologically very cumbersome for Butler.

Let's see. Butler loses to Duke by 2. Evansville loses to Butler by 4.

So, of course, the so-called mid-majors will be back in their normal positions next year.

I'm sure he did. Butler was out of time outs, so they were unable to advance the ball with the clock stopped off of a miss. If he makes, they could at least have thrown a length of the court pass.

What a game. While a Butler victory would've been outstanding, their run this year has given all of the non-BCS schools hope and confidence that they CAN compete with anyone if given the chance.

Way to go Butler. You had a helluva run!

That was the best National Championship games I've ever seen. I thought for sure that Hayward's high-arching teardropper was gonna rain home - just a smidge long.

How amazing would it have been had that halfcourt bomb gone in? A 45 foot bank shot buzzer beater to win the title for Butler... :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: That would have been the ending of all endings.

Butler should be a preseason Top 5 team next year.

Congrats for the Bulldogs for playing for the little guy. Great season.

If non-BCS conferences had trouble scheduling BCS teams before this, I believe this game made it even harder.
