My granddaughter's nickname is smidge (she was 3 lbs, 12 oz at birth).

I will say that having a mind a smidge quicker than mine will put you ahead of a snail's pace but you could still have trouble overtaking a turtle.
Wow, 3 lbs? What a trooper!

Eh, stop being humble 72. You know that you're one of our top scholastically sophisticated minds on the board. :good:

Great, great day of basketball (minus the fact that UNC and WSU aren't in this).

Brackets took a beating but very happy Wake beat Texas. I have a soft spot for the Deacs.

Changed 3 picks 1 hour before tourney, lost all those games. Lesson learned.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm surprised this excuse hasn't been repeated every five minutes by the idiot talking heads at ESPN.

Of the thirteen teams from the Big EASY conference to get post season bids, nine have played. Six of those nine lost in the first rounds. And of the six losers, five were the higher seed.

The word overrated comes to mind. Again and Again.

            From SportsJournalists.com

            "I think I'm ready for a lobotomy.
They kept switching back and forth -- without any announcements -- between the Texas (white unis, orange trim)-Wake Forest (black unis, white trim) game and the Tennessee (white unis, orange trim)-San Diego State (black unis, white trim) game.
Texas guy take a jumpshot, San Diego State guy rebounds.
Wake Forest guy going to the line ... or is that a San Diego State guy?
Tennessee calls time out ... or was that Texas?
Seems like there were several instances today when two or three games were ending at the same time."

I was noticing the same thing, rip. And of the 3 teams that won, UConn beat a "lowly" mid-major by 2 and a #2 seed Villinova had to go overtime to win by 3 in OT over ... another "lowly" mid-major.

So is there some place that has compiled a list on the number of teams from each conference in all 4 post season tournaments and how the conferences are doing. it looks like the Big East is doing pretty bad, I think the MoValley is 3-2 W(UNI, Crei, MoSt) - L(WSU, InSU)...just kind of curious be interesting to see how they are doing versus their seeding too. (looked on google for something like this but no luck so far) Looks like at least one more double digit seed to the next round with Cornell

MVC is actually 3-3 as ILSU also lost to Dayton in the NIT.

watching the Clemson Missouri game and they were talking about Johnson and gave some love to WSU and his dad Cheese, then talked about a few of our greats that have played for us in the past, it was pretty cool.
Too bad we couldn't have gotten Cheese's son

Wofford shoots 1-7 in the second half from the free throw line, turns the ball over on their second to last possession and pisses away a win against Wisconsin.

I wouldn't even consider Robert Morris a "mid-major". They're more like a "Really Low Major".

I'm still in so much denial about the Shox's season that i'm trying to mindscrew myself into believing that Kentucky is really the Shockers. That way I have somebody to root for other than K-State. Go WildShox. :(
