To continue the anit Creighton theme I will add that nobody comes close to being as irritating as these people. Their students were vile! Sitting next to them during the game and enduring the taunting. It was actually kind of funny, especially as the Bradley smack down continued. But I was very proud of all the Shocker faithful sitting down low. Not one person confronted those stupid punks. Even after they threw a bunch of crap on us. Not sure what it was, but it looked like dog food or something.

The reception for the Bradley folks that entered the pep rally was priceless. A true hero's welcome. That was awesome!

Anyway, cheers to us. What a great weekend. Almost got it done. I appreciate all of the comments on this board about everyone's experiences because it paints an accurate picture of what a special time it is to gather with our fans and those from around the valley. Except for Creighton of course. Can't wait til March 2011!

There were many great memories in St. Louis this year but to add on to how classy the ISU fans were I thought I'd share a story about their students. I was one of the students in the student section and to get close seats we got there about 3 hours before the games to stand in line. Before the ISU game their students were very friendly and we talked basketball back and forth like we were fellow students cheering for the same team, definitely not the vibe we received from the UNI students the next day. Before the doors opened the last words we received from them was "good luck and if we lose please go beat UNI tomorrow, we'll be rooting for you!". And sure enough on Sunday they returned to cheer us on, and even found some way to sneak into our student section and take part in our chants. They said they were planning on returning home early Sunday if they did not make it but they decided to stay longer just to help root for us and make more noise in our student section. I thought that was pretty special and from this day on I will always root for ISU, unless of course we're playing them! Anyways just thought that was pretty cool and wanted to share. Go Shox!

Just wanted to mention the band member who did such an outstanding job of reving up the fans. If you were there, you know who I'm talking about. He wore an "FBI" stocking hat and at times a bedazzled glove. :good:

Way above and beyond the call :yahoo:

Absolutely! The gloved one was all energy all the time. My hand is still burning from all the high fives from that guy. It was clear that this was his senior year and he wanted it to be special. Very cool! Thanks Band members. You guys rocked the joint.

Add that and the fact that they looked great in their khaki slacks and polo type shirts they were a source of pride for the Shox.

Still amazed at the number of people that will spend the big bucks at the Scottrade Center for the alcoholic drinks they enjoy, and then are seen sipping on a pepsi after the game in a local pub.....

I don't like to be the one that's like "Our guys are always the best...." but the pep band was OUTSTANDING all weekend. Even as strong as they are, they stepped it up a notch to say the least. Simply fantastic all weekend long. They even applauded the other bands at times (sometimes when the other band really sucked too) which I thought was great.

They should all be extremely proud. They are good, they prepared and then they executed at a VERY high level.

                        Congrats!

PS The ISU Red Train Express (or whatever they call it now) was down a little bit....but still easy on the eyes.
