I don't care how many points Eglseder scores, I get ill watching him play.
I don't know if you are Cold or not, but you sure sound like him here. Both of you prefer form over function. Personally, I care about performance and would rather have Eglseder than Casey Crawford.
MTXE isn't Cold. Cold knew how to use the "quote" function, MTXE doesn't.
Cold is smart enough to change a few things here and there to throw people off.
Remember, he is a banned member and probably doesn't wanna get canned again so he's playing hard-to-get.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I suspect that these two will act like team mates, work together in practice to make each other better and win a lot of games together. So the topic is pretty mich irrelevant. The real purpose of this thread was to stir the pot. Its stirred up 4 pages.

MTXE "wins" again. Way to go guys.
:ohno:
It is a internet message board. There is no winning or losing. You can only lose if you take it seriously enough for it to upset you. And if making people angry on a message board is winning, then you have already lost at life.
"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players
The sad part is that these two young men who seem like fine people and who are both making an effort to improve. The futures of themselves and the team are sacrificed for the amusement of an anonymous poster on a message board.
We are talking about a sport. We all have our loyalty to the school and community that the team represents. As a student in the early 90's I would not support a team who lost frequently' disrupted campus and had players with frequent troubles with the law.
These are not my expectations for the current program. The players are not being paid great sums. All we have is a contrived situation used to insult the players. So that somebody can have the fun of getting a response on a message board.

That's exactly the opposite of how I hope it would turn out. I hope when EO arrives at campus and walks out of the tunnel for his first organized practice, he turns to his teammates to say, "which one of you starters is going to sit this year, because it sure ain't going to be me".
I don't think anyone is being honest with themselves in saying they're not disappointed in Stutz's progress. If EO is better than Stutz next year that's going to say a lot more about Stutz than EO.
It's unfortunate, because I'd love to see Durley at the "4," but you can't play Stutz any significant minutes.
I think Durley mostly plays the '4' doesn't he?
Power Forward
Power forwards play a role similar to that of center, playing with their back to the basket on offense and positioned either on the low blocks or against the opposing power forward on defense. However, in most instances, the power forward is asked to shoulder more of a scoring role and somewhat less of a defensive role than a center.
Center
The center is one of the standard positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and they are generally preferred to have a great deal of muscle and body mass as well. A typical NBA center is 6'10" (2.08 m) or taller.
In many cases, the center's primarily role is simply to be very large, and to use his size to score and defend from a position close to the basket. A center who possesses size along with athleticism and skill constitutes an unparalleled asset for a team.
It seems to me like our first string has two 4's and our second string has a 4 and a 5. Perhaps it's all semantics.

:ohno:
Not really. The vast majority of responses in this thread were knee-jerk defensive, personal, or related to the always popular "who is MTXE game".
Is it so hard to believe that I would actually find a discussion about EO's coming impact and how it compares to GS's interesting? Thanks to those of you who honestly contributed.

What games have you been watching? Durley is clearly our starting center.
