Yep, there was a pretty big difference when booking Wed. to Wed. so we did it. What dates are you trying to go out?
I have three kids in school, so trying to only miss Monday and Tuesday.

Flights have dropped in just the last day though. For example, US Air has a one-way flight from OGG to KC for just $300 on Thanksgiving day, with only one stop in Phoenix.

    Any suggestions on game tickets?
I've got kids in school too...that's what retired grandpa is for... :D

As for tickets, you can probably buy them there from scalpers for less than what the rest of us paid, but if you'd prefer to have the security of having tickets in-hand, I'd do as shocktown suggested and buy them now from the Maui Invitational website.

This+1. We're not going to Hawaii without our daughter, so I had to cancel this trip, which hurts beyond words.

        The upside?

I am loaded for bear when the postseason arrives.

There's also results of a fan poll at the bottom of the page (left). Looks like we could use a few more votes unless the voting has ended?

I just received a phone call from Priceline telling me that my flight back to Wichita from Phoenix has been canceled and my route home and time arriving home is being drastically changed. My flight from Maui to Phoenix didn't changed though. Those that have their flights booked for awhile should double check and make sure that everything is okay.

I "may" have two tickets available for the Wednesday game. I would be willing to sell if anyone wants them. I will know in a couple weeks whether I can use the tickets that day. If anyone is interested pm me.

Gotcha! My kids are 6 and 2... They wouldn't appreciate Maui, the 6 year old thinks she deserves another Disney World trip now though!

I'll be right there with you! A bunch of us went to Padre in 2005 then made the Greensboro and DC trips...that went pretty well! Let's hope we can do it again!

Seems like only yesterday (February) we were booking it!

Saving this page and bringing with me to each place along the way!

I know some may not agree with the percieved "recruiting misses", but what we don't truly know is who (outside of Chatman) the coaches REALLY want (ok, Ellis too). But I can tell you this without a doubt in my mind....

ITS A GREAT DAY TO BE A SHOCKER!! AND IT MAY BE AN EVEN BETTER ONE COME MARCH!!

I guess the coaches really wanted Chatman but I had a hard time understanding that one. It's going to be a great year!!

Well, we got to take that first step last time. Were invited back to the team hotel with some pretty big donors and players’ families...beers were "on the house"! It was an excellent time look forward to more just like it.

I know, different subject than the title. Nevertheless, I will assume that most any player they make an offer to, and that makes a visit (official or not), would be a player the coaching staff really wanted, because had he verballed at such a visit, WSU would accept such verbal.

If a school, particularly one that is not a "big-time, big-name" basketball school, is making offers to players who then follow up with a visit, want to verbal, but not accepted at that time, that negative word would get out on such practice. It's one thing to make a lot of offers (that's got to happen to be successful), but another thing to let an offered kid visit and then tell him they really don't want him, at this time anyway.

Man there is a crappy scenario out there ... what if we beat UConn, and Mich. State loses their first game? ARG ARG ARG ... what's the scouting report on Chaminade? Please tell me this is a zero-chance possibility.

If Michigan State loses to Chaminade then they will go down in history with Virginia. If they lose to Chaminade, then they aren't NEAR as good as anyone thinks they are and wouldn't be worth playing anyways.

If I recall, Chaminade has only won a few games in the entire history of the tournament and they've played every year. They're D-2. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
