We lost this game. Plain and simple. We shot poorly from the field, poorly from 3pt line, poorly from ft line. We had five more turnovers than they did. We could of won this game. We just did not put the ball in the hole. We missed a few lay ups and anytime you play on the road you have to shoot well from the free throw line or it will be tough to win.

There is no fix in today's game. Yeah there were more fouls called on us than them but i also saw us not moving our feet and body checking them a few times. Anytime you do not move your feet on defense you are going to get called for a foul. I thought the jump ball call towards the end was a terrible call but it happens all the time in college basketball. There was no fix.

I do not understand why we would leave the Valley. Not many other mid-major conferences put in multiple teams in the NCAA tournament every year. It is the most respected mid-major conference in the nation, by far!

We lost one game. There is no reason to lose our heads and panic. People are acting like it is the end of the world. It is not. We cannot live in this lost. We need to come out stoked and play hard and well with UNI.

But again, my point is, there was NO WAY we were going to win there today. There was something there that would have prevented it at all costs. Some may call it was a "fix", others "dumb luck".

As our own head coach alluded to in his postgame, there was more skin slapped in the final 13 seconds than there was in large portions of the game when fouls were called every second. Again, this is what OUR COACH said. And if you actually watched the game, you could see it too. Hell even KU fans thought so. I checked a few other Valley sites and they also thought there were some questionable officiating going on.

There was something rotten in Denmarkha tonight. You can deny it all you want. Wichita State was not going to win tonight. End of story.

i just dont get this concept. are refs scared of dana altman? are they scared of creighton fans? do they get paid to throw the game?

i want to know why the refs are out to help creighton...

Generally speaking, they involve referee appeasement to Princess Diana, Queen of the Valley and also the Valley's hate for WSU. It may be coincidence that this has become painfully apparent both times in the last year against sCUm.

i dont see how it benefits the valley for wsu to lose this game today. i agree that wsu got hosed last year but that stuff happens. to say the refs fixed the game is over the top imo.

I think it probably has more to do with this being a Saturday game and the Valley getting the leftovers for referees because the best ones are all doing BcS conference games.

We tend to get better refs on Tuesdays when there aren't nearly as many div.1 basketball games being played.

For them, they did!

No doubt about it that we were their biggest win of the year. This game meant more for them than it did for us unfortunately. That is evident by this being their largest crowd of the year.. and 13th largest of all-time.

Is that an excuse for the way we played? No. We played like garbage. However, there were factors that played into that.
