  • The Fix Was In

If it wasn't obvious enough at the beginning of the game or the beginning of the second half or most certainly at the end, there was NO way these referees were going to let WSU win in Omaha. You could seriously tell they were on a mission to make sure it didn't happen.

One of the most obvious homer jobs I have ever witnessed. At least they could be somewhat more discrete about it.

Now you wonder why we haven't won there since Bush I's administration.

Switch conferences. Except I won't be expecting that with the current AD.

Amen, there were about 6 calls in a row in the first part of the second half where there was no evidence of a foul. That game needs to be protested. I'm more proud of our team. They almost beat 7 guys.

You're exactly right. I shouldn't expect anything more. I did predict the L but I sure didn't see the 3-man striped onslaught. At least to that extent.

It was more like 8 guys but thats ok. How do not call a double dribble and then we try to foul and the refs are running off the floor already. they were almost off the floor before the buzzer even sounded. Total BS in scum land.

FYI DIDNT PLAY WELL EITHER THOUGH

I'm interested in hearing Coach's take on the game.

I agree that we played horribly. We had little chance when all of our starters had to be benched early in the second half thanks to the whistlefest.

We definitely didn't help ourselves with our horrid shooting, execution, and FT shooting, but it seems like everytime we tried to be aggressive, we got hit up for it by the "fix".

Generally in an end-of-game situation like the Shocks were in tonight the refs will call a foul if a player is within five feet of the ballhandler. The non-call at the end and the tie-up "timeout" (didn't know you could call a timeout without possession) were way, way beyond the pale. MVC office is going to have to reprimand them: "don't be so obvious next time."

I truly rarely complain about calls - but the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half was a joke. :-x

Ref just called another foul on WSU. That way Valley turn a big game on Tuesday in to just a basketball game by a couple mid-majors. A$$ HOLES

the refs at the end of the game were fine. it was the shocks who screwed that up. the refs overall were terrible, but it was bad both ways and they were consistently bad. nothing to see her other than a bunch of people acting like sore losers.

wsu played terrible and deserved to lose. too little too late.
