I don't agree with this statement.

I have coached in the YMCA league, the Biddy league, MAYB league and the Parochial league. Each league has it's positives and each has it negatives. For the record, all of their ref's for the most part are horrible. YMCA ball is not competitve, a few teams are, but they are the exception and not the rule. Biddy ball is very competitive, but a helter skelter type of play, to much slapping at the ball and not using your feet for defense. Parochial ball was competitive and a little more disciplined, but the talent top to bottom wasn't as good. MAYB was probably the best of the four, however it is mostly a summer league. None of these leagues are perfect, but neither is the coaching or the officiating.

Can you tell me where there is a better league?
I've been coaching my son's 3rd and 4th grade YMCA team in Hutch this year. Our officiating has been very good (college kids) until this past Saturday when we had two refs I didn't recognize. They let way too much contact go. One of my kids left the game with a bloody arm after begin tripped (for the 3rd or 4th time, no fouls called). In the 4th quarter I finally had to yell at one of the refs because one of my kids was getting pushed all the way down the court (with the ref trailing the whole way). The irony is that after the 1st quarter, both refs told both teams not to push and hack, yet they did nothing during play (ie. call the fouls other than shooting fouls) to stop it.

During the post-game handshake one of their kids called one of mine a jacka**, but that's a different gripe.

If your blind and you know it blow your whistle (clap clap)

If your blind and you know it blow your whistle (clap clap)

If your blind and you know it and you really want to show it if your blind and you know it blow your whistle (clap clap)

This is a good one because when they do blow their whistle everyone laughs at them and you can also change out blind for any other insult that you want. :posterwu:
