I for one saw 27 points on the scoreboard, must have gotten a pair after that.
The way he was hitting EVERYTHING, I wouldn't be surprised if he scored 2 from the locker room after the game was over.
When Marshall made his speech to the crowd, you could tell he was NOT HAPPY. When he was done, he pretty much tossed the live mic onto the table . It made a distinct noise when it hit.
That's all it took for the crowd to go nuts! I've definitely heard it louder, but it got loud, the game changed pretty quickly, and the Shox took the mo. That pretty much seemed like the turning point in the game. That's also when the Shox evidently stopped fouling, because the rate at which fouls were called on WSU went WAY down.
Having to warn the crowd was not the only thing to be unhappy about at that point.
But it worked - the whole building was fired up after that. It was after those free throws that we started to put TCU away.

I just wish the crowd was good enough to do the opposite at that point.. a "These refs are great" chant would have got the point across... and how can you T up a "these refs are great" chant...
Marshall is right.. a more 'creative' set of chants would be nice. I wish the negativity would go away.. Sarcasm is so much better.
thanks guys, its great to be back and it is great that the Shocks are winning! :good:
I figure I will resurface here, get my name back out there and eventually get a sit down with HCGM and offer my services as head cross-over dribble coach (which I invented back in the early 70's). That could be the final piece to making this squad a contender.

No better way for Marshall to have handled the crowd situation than to resort back to the ever witty Billy Tubbs when he grabbed the mic in a similar situation and stated that he was asked to tell the crowd not to yell obscenities even though that was the worst officiating he had ever seen.
What a crack-up. Oh, and he was immediately Td up for that.

Anyone else remember that? It was hilarious!
Here is the video for those of you who haven't seen it before.
Billy Tubbs got asked by the officials to ask the fans to stop throwing things on the floor during the 1989 Mizzou-Oklahoma basketball game in Norman. Mizzo...

As someone stated earlier the refs may have actually done us a favor with that little-league move. From that point on the crowd was in the game until it was well in hand.
We need both the team and the crowd to put in a full 40 minutes against Texas Tech.
The best part of that was when he got T'd up, he turned around and in CLASSIC Billy Tubbs whine, extended his arms out wide, while shrugging his shoulders and exclaimed, "FOR WHAT?????!!!!!!!!!" as if he was STUNNED they called a Technical on him.
Tubbs was entertaining, but he was the biggest horses ass I've ever seen on the bench......EVER.

My favorite part was toward the end of the game when Clevin hit a 'dagger-like' contested 3 pointer their coach just put his arms up as if to indicate a great deal of frustration and a general lack of answers for our attack.
I didn't get to watch the game or listen. Nice win for the Shox. Sounds like we were able to fend off the runs and fight through another frustrating officiated game.
Ties for the best start in school history. Granted, that isn't saying much as I believe one of R Smithson's teams started 9-1 as well, and also given the level of competition. I don't know about any of you, but I like the weapons we have on this team and think we are only going to get better.
