I don't think Cold would be critical of Marshall. We have too many guys that look like basketball players and had like 6 dunks in a game. That would be good for at least 2 years of good will.

As I have said before, I am happy with where the program is heading (except for the athletic department leadership but I'll save that for another thread). I am happy with the recruits on the floor. I expect a strong performance out of our team this year. I would be very pleased to see Marshall eclipse Turgeon's record in conference wins this year.

My earlier comments were just that.. comments. I'm very well aware of the hearts and minds of this fickle crowd called Shockernet. My pointing out HCGM's struggles as he adapted to Valley play were all raised by many in here last year. Many of which haven't posted. To borrow a little language from the urban culture of America: I'm just trying to keep it real.

If I were to respond to all the inaccuracies -no doubt brought on by emotional reaction- that my comments seem to generate, I would be typing for hours. This one was really easy and quick AND came without emotional baggage.

Now if you want to talk about efficient player management, take a look at Drake in 2007-2008. They had 9 scholarship players of which 6 were the horses they rode all the way to a Valley Championship. Now that is some coaching!

If I were to respond to all the inaccuracies -no doubt brought on by emotional reaction- that my comments seem to generate, I would be typing for hours. This one was really easy and quick AND came without emotional baggage.

Notice I said LAST year, not Gregg's first year. Gregg's first year was a mess and there were enough circumstances beyond his control that he deserved a pass. I still had a few issues that first year but... nevermind. :)
