We got good looks against the UMKC zone from three-point range the past two years ... we just didn't hit anything -- 4-17 (and 18-28 from the FT line) in 2007; 4-18 (and 11-25 from the FT line) in 2008.

Shoot 30 percent from three-point range and/or 70 percent from the line and we win both games. That should do for the upcoming game, as well, and we're a much better shooting team this year.

Focusing on UMKC but can't help thinking about T Tech....Hurdle indicated on his Sunday PM show that tech might be ranked by the time we play them.....thought he said they had a win agains a top 20 team.....I think they are a very good team and we will have to play well to beat them....winning 3 of the next 3 would be quite a feat.....could even get us a vote or two in the ranking game

        Overtime,

That was a good win against Washington that they had, but it was a home game for them. I'm willing to bet they can pull off a few of those upsets in the Big XII when they are at home, but going on the road will probably be a challenge for them.

If they are able to beat TCU before coming to Wichita, they might be ranked, but it probably depends more on how the teams in front of them play since those are their only two games in two weeks (finals week for many schools). Maybe they'll even be rusty by the time they come to town. Here's to hoping they struggle mightily at Kcoh.

Yep...I guess we should be hoping they are ranked when they get here....and we have taken care of business...It's OK for us to look ahead a few games...but not for our team

Washington was ranked 12th at the time when Texas Tech beat them 99-92 in OT.

I don't know how much better Texas Tech is this year, but we only lost to them by 3 points down there last year.

Tech is #23 in the AP and one spot out in the coach's poll.

Find the 2024-25 NCAAM rankings on ESPN, including the Coaches and AP poll for the top 25 NCAAM teams.

That's good. We should root for them over TCU.

Wow, big jump, that could be good for us if they can beat TCU.

                          Probably Creighton.

I know Creighton was ranked at the Coliseum, but I don't remember them being ranked at Koch. I actually can't remember any ranked team coming to Koch since the renovations, I could be wrong though...maybe a Creighton, IlSU, or UNI was barely in the Top 25 and I'm not remembering it.

I'm pretty sure we beat a ranked Creighton in Koch in January, 2007. They were in the 20s in one poll and not ranked in the other.
