Shoot I have a bad feeling they'll probably lose at TCU this week....I sure hope not. I would love their first loss to come at the hands of our Shox! ;)
And UMKC...
Tech plays UMKC? I'm talking about Texas Tech losing to TCU this week before coming to play us on the 19th....
Yeah, I misread your post. But still, since we can't beat TT, we may as well throw in the towell against UMKC and TCU.
"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!
Meh, we are fans on a message board. Who cares about one at a time? Plus no one has started a topic about UMKC...feel free and maybe people will jump in on the conversation.

As long as we win another road game I'm good whether by 6 or 30....

Sure, we have no bearing on the outcomes of games, but the Texas Tech game will be less meaningful and less "big" if we drop the next 2.
I'm far more concerned with UMKC at the moment, rather than the Tech game.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

KC Shox probably hasn't seen us play yet, unless it was at the Sprint.
I'll say this: The talent, and the basketball IQ, together showing up on the floor at Koch Arena, are BOTH higher than they've been in a long, long, long time, with 2005-06 being a possible exception.
We're young, and we still lapse into short phases of immaturity (i.e. excessive celebration after Toure delivered the facial on USC-U's shot-blocker), but HCGM will put a stop to that.
The schedule sets up nicely for the next two weeks, with a winnable (not guaranteed) road game, a tougher home game in the MVC-MWC challenge, and then the visit by Tech.
I think we beat UMKC, however their 1-3-1 zone defense has been a problem for us. I don't think we have performed very well against zone defenses this year either. I'm sure HCGM will have them ready. Our team will not over look UMKC (this time).
