I don't think you'd want to see Blair at the 3. Ellis...I can see that. Dude is quick. Blair is a 4/5, and he's not a finesse 4/5.
I loved Ellis' steal on an inbounds play last night. It was like "hey, guys, look what I got...uh, guys, I took it way from 2 guys and now they're both on me. HELP!!"The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I don't think we have seen this one yet, but I want to see how Blair and Ellis could do at the three.
I'd love to see Aaron put in to shut down a particularly annoying 3.

Originally posted by shockersince71I didn't really catch what happen to GS last night before he went into the locker room during the game. Was it his nose or teeth that got hit? I believe the tall kid on Texas Southern team used the back of his head while backing in for a shot to head butt GS. It sure looked like he was doing that alot. Anyone know?
He came to the bench and said he was hurt - blood was gushing out of his mouth near his lip. He looked like he was in a lot of pain. Apparently he must have bit his lip / inside of his mouth. He then went to the locker room and a trainer came out and mentioned that he had a flap of skin haning loose and might need stitches.
Fortunately it seems like he didn't as he came back out a few minutes later. As soon as he sat down, HCGM walked up to him and asked if he was ready to go back into the game... of course he was! :good:
I'm a believer! :posterwu:

Some bloody lips and some uncalled fouls tend to make players a little tougher, more assertive, and more protective of their "space". Garrett has shown in some pickup games that he can develop some attitude - he just needed a reason to get mad during games and channel that anger in the right directions (through the hoop).
Garrett may be ready for Valley play by the time it starts. He's getting quite an education in getting fouled with no calls. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I'm with you, Joco.
The offense is very complicated, and we can see that it takes some time to learn. I would figure that it takes about a year to get completely down, as now we can see the guys who have been in the system for a year look way more comfortable. I would think it possible that JT might get some time at the 4 next year, with EO coming in, but it would take a long time to learn the sets, and be as comfortable with them as he is now.
We've got depth for 4 guys in the post, and even though Ellis would be scary on the wing, I think we can just as easily put Murry, Kyles, or Hatch on almost any 3 we see and be able to shut them down. Unless he's some 6'8" athletic freak who makes three pointers. But we probably won't see too many of those on the opposing bench (as they will probably be playing the 4 spot, and Ellis will be on him anyway). You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
