This year's recruiting, or lack of, has added to the fire.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

I think it is absolutely stupid that this thread even made it past a few posts. Coach Marshall being on the hotseat is laughable. Not even debatable.

I think this thread is more about coaching expectations and what it takes to keep a job. I think Marshally will be here for the foreseeable future.

This thread nearly morphed into a CLo on the hot seat thread.

There's a 6-page thread on SalukiTalk titled "Fire Lowery" or something to that effect. The Saluki faithful are losing faith in CLo.

From the looks of things it all went into the tank when CLo recruited a bunch of players with superior offensive skills who never bought into his defense-is-the-only thing-that-matters coaching style.

When CLo needed to adapt his game planning and play to a different skill set, he was lost because the only thing he knows in the in-your-jock D that SIU used to play.

I hope CLo stays at SIU for 20 years and collects $1M per year.

I wanted him to replace watson, because you know, your assistant coaching unit should at least have one guy with some good experience. Wouldnt want him as the head coach though, at least not yet. If we had just lost a coach because he was a winner like Painter and the program had good national respect that made recruiting easier id be all for it, but im not sure if Hinson is a rebuilder

The post above on http://www.salukitalk.net/st/viewtopic.php?t=30297 brought some replies.

So we are rebuilding????? I think he can save it before we have to rebuild I feel we have the tools we just need someone to put them together.....

By the time Clo leaves it will be a rebuilding project, at least that is if current trends hold. If some real improvement happens during this year, things might be different

Here's to 20 years of MVC tourney play-in games for the Salukis. :D

This is what happens when you have a fanbase that expects a National Championship every year.

String together a couple more wins and this talk will disappear again.

I don't think I've ever seen a fanbase meltdown as bad as that one does.

Don't forget, it was just two years ago that the Doggies were loading up the Final 4 bandwagon.

                    HCGM on the hot seat?

How? Did we rehire Lew Perkins?

He's not. This topic was started in response to a blogger that claimed Marshall was on the hotseat before the season began. It was laughable then and even more so now.
